“The Prehistoric Forest”: Michigan’s Creepiest Abandoned Amusement Park
The 8-year-old in me is saddened to know that such a thing existed in the prime of her Dinosaur Obsession: The Prehistoric Forest. Closed in 1999, this Michigan tourist attraction opened for business in 1963. In it's hay-day, The Prehistoric Forest, an 8-acre park nestled in Irish Hills, boasted a waterfall, volcano, and water-slide. Now, it's long-forgotten fiber-glass statues stand eerily still among the ever-growing forest around them.
I heard it's on sale for $548,000... so, if you need me, you can find me channeling my inner-elementary-schooler putting the finishing touches on her lemonade stand.
