With opening weekend under our belts, I want to thank everyone who came out to see "To Kill a Mockingbird" at The Civic Theatre. A recent write-up by James Sanford for Review West Michigan had some wonderful things to say about the cast and production.  Thank you Mr. Sanford for taking the time to share your thoughts on our show with our community. Some highlights from his review include:

...there are points at which we feel (the playwright) pushing the plot along without leaving quite enough time for nuance and atmosphere. Even so, the actors never short-change the material.

The emotional fireworks and thought-provoking themes of “To Kill a Mockingbird” can tempt some directors to go to ill-advised extremes, but thankfully (Todd) Espeland and his team opt for subtlety and tastefulness instead of Great American Novel razzle-dazzle.

Tickets are still available for the remaining 5 shows. Don't miss this important story brought to the stage by "emotional, nuanced performances."

To the cast and crew of Mockingbird, three down, five to go. It's been an absolute pleasure.
