The Time Everclear Covered ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’

Everclear will be on stage at Ribfest 2019 Friday night.  Do you remember when they covered the Thin Lizzy classic, "The Boys are Back in Town"?

I was looking through the old RKR CD library and found the soundtrack for the Kiss movie, "Detroit Rock City".  The soundtrack features bands like Everclear, Pantera, Kiss and Black Sabbath among others.

I remember  playing the Everclear cover back in 1999 when the film was released.

The other single that received airplay from the soundtrack was the cover of "Cat Scratch Fever" by Pantera.

The soundtrack was perfect for highlighting the 70's, the time period featured through out the movie.

The Everclear cover was released between the band's albums, "So Much For The Afterglow" and "Songs From An American Movie Vol. One".

Could this cover be a part of the setlist for Friday night?  We will find out Friday when the band performs at 9:30 p.m.
