One of Blues Current Greats, Tommy Castro returns to Kalamazoo and The State Theater, April 21st along with Mike Zito and The Painkillers.   Here are three reasons why you should see Tommy Castro when he returns to The State Theater.

The Pain Killers

According to Tommy Castro's bio,  he formed the 4 member Painkillers back in 2012.   The group has backed him on his last couple albums and brings a stripped down sound to his music.

Award Winning Artist

You don't need an award to be considered great but it helps.   I was introduced to him when he released his first album with Alligator Records, "Hard Believer".  That album helped earn him four of his six blues music awards which included the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award.

A great artist who you should make an effort to see if you have never had the chance.  The show at the State Theater is on Friday, April 21st.  Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 4th at 11 a.m.   Tickets are $29.50 and $40  and are available through The State Theater Box Office and Ticketmaster.
