The Tigers are currently fighting for a playoff spot for this season.  Today the team released their schedule for next season.  The season schedule looks tough and here are 5 of the top series to look forward to at home for the upcoming season.

Boston Red Sox (April 7-10)

It's tough to play the Red Sox anywhere, but to open the season at Comerica Park against the team that currently leads the American League East should be an early series to watch.

Cleveland Indians (May 1-4)

The Tigers have been chasing the Indians through out this season and this series will be the first time next year that they play in Detroit.  This series could determine how the Tigers fare in the Central in 2017.

San Francisco Giants (July 4-6)

The Giants are always a tough team and I'm sure will give the Tigers a test in Interleague play.

Los Angeles Dodgers (August 18-20)

Currently the top team in the National League West, and along with the Giants coming to town, another Interleague test for the Tigers at home.

New York Yankees (August 22-24)

Surprisingly The Yankees are still fighting for a playoff spot this season after throwing in the towel at the trade deadline.   I would think they will be right there again next season and with this series coming right after the Dodgers series this should be a big series in late August.
