Tigers Pitching Prospect Nominated For A Pair Of MiLBY Awards

The Tigers had a forgettable year but a few of their players in Erie had breakout seasons.  One of those pitchers, Tarik Skubal has been nominated for a pair of awards. 

According to Minor League Baseball,  Skubal is up for two MiLBY Awards.  He is nominated for Top Starting Pitcher and for Breakout Prospect.

Skubal is one of the starting pitchers playing with the Double A Erie Seawolves. The team also features top prospects Casey Mize and Matt Manning.

Skubal started the season in Single A Lakeland before moving to Erie and had a 2.24 ERA with 179 strikeouts in 24 combined starts.

A prospect to keep an eye on in the Tigers organization.   Fans can vote on the 2019 MiLBY Awards until Thursday, October 31st

The awards also include Top Offensive Player, Top Relief Pitcher, Best Defensive Play and more.
