Hospitals all around the country may soon be fitting their essential employees with Vera Bradley couture. According to an article from a Fort Wayne, Indiana Fox affiliate, Vera Bradley announced they are converting their Fort Wayne facility to making facemasks, scrubs, and "other personal protective gear for healthcare and other essential workers" using fabric they use to make handbags and accessories. The official Vera Bradley scrubs, lab coats, jackets, and accessories in the "VB Healthcare Collection" will be available to healthcare workers at a discount rate. CEO Rob Wallstrom said, quote, “Our hearts go out to all affected by COVID-19 and to the courageous people serving on the front lines in our communities. We’re proud to be able to pivot our operations, lend a helping hand, and create a product with so much purpose.”
