Hill was one of the best players in basketball until injuries slowed him down. He won national championships at Duke, played on the second Olympic "Dream Team" in 1996 and spent six seasons with the Detroit Pistons. He is in both the Basketball and College Basketball Halls of Fame.
Konstantinov was one of the "Russian Five" who left the former Soviet Union and restored the Detroit Red Wings to glory in the 1990's. His career was tragically cut short after he was paralyzed after a team celebration following the Red Wings winning the Stanley Cup in 1997.
Petersen was one of the "Flint-stones" from Flint, who helped lead the Michigan State Spartans to a national title in 2000; still coach Tom Izzo's only championship. He still hold the record for consecutive games played in the NBA, with the Toronto Raptors.
The Michigan Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are on Saturday October 5, at Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel.
