Waffle House Not Likely To Be Added To New Tekken Game, But These Michigan Destinations Could
There is a new Tekken fighting game on the horizon, and there are people out there who are hound-dogging the director to add Waffle House as a playable fight venue.
The Director of the Tekken games, Katsuhiro Harada, actually sent out a tweet on X, asking fans why, of all things, they are requesting Waffle House be a playable level in the new game:

Ok, I will only ask once about this request. Why do some communities send me requests for "Waffle House"? Please be sure to explain the basis for the request, including the original story, history and background. I look forward to an explanation from someone who knows more.
Fans then poured into the reply section to explain why they want Waffle House in the game. However, as much as we'd all like to see that, Harada responded with the most likely reason we will never get to see that happen:
I had already been thinking about it quite a while ago. However, this is purely my own speculation, I suspect that the lack of response may be due to the fact that the project I'm known for revolves around ‘fighting-themed video games. By the way, no response = very rare case.
It would make a lot of sense that Waffle House wouldn't want to embrace the idea that their locations are a great venue for battling, but regardless, there are some great sights in Michigan that would make for a cool fight venue in the game.
