Walk the Walk: Nike to Release U of M, MSU Running Shoes

College sports fans can show their loyalty as Nike has 19 new designs including University of Michigan and Michigan State University colors.

College sports is big business. Although the athletes aren't paid, the schools have lucrative endorsement deals to support the programs. Nike shoes are worn exclusively on the field at many colleges and universities and now fans can war them too. The shoes are officially called Nike College Zoom Pegasus 37 and will retail for $130. Nineteen institutions of higher learning are represented.

Runners love the breathable mesh upper, and the Zoom Air unit supplements the springy foam for a nice fit and comfortable support. Wolverine fans will love the maize outlined swoosh on the outside with a blue logo on the instep. Yellow eyelets and blue laces draw attention and a block M accents the heel. Michigan State fans only get the two colors, with an outlined swoosh and a solid green one on each, with Sparty at the heel.
