Are MI School Girls Being Told "Your Body, My Choice" By Boys?

We are coming off the heels of one of the most polarizing presidential campaigns of all time. Right now, passions are at an all-time high as women across the country are fearing that they may lose their rights because of a controversial agenda named Project 2025. Since the AP called the race and named former president Donald Trump the new president-elect, there have been many rumors going around that boys in school are telling girls “Your body, my choice.“

This initially began because of a post on threads from a mother who claimed that boys walking around telling girls this quote over and over was trending in Escanaba High School, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Yesterday the school put out a notice that has been made public :

We were recently made aware of a social media post referencing the latest presidential election and stating that males are walking around the school telling females “your body, my choice. “ we want to be absolutely clear: we have had no reports from students or staff that this type of behavior is occurring. This is a social media rumor, it is false, and it appears to have originated outside our area.

The school, then reassured families that any report will be immediately investigated by the school and administrators to take the appropriate action and encourage anybody who faces this kind of discrimination to immediately reported to the principal or any teacher.

Another issue that has been going around is Black residents receiving text messages that they have been selected to “pick cotton at the nearest plantation,” as one Detroit woman allegedly received.
