The NHL All Star Game was over the Weekend In Nashville, Tennessee.  Along with the game, there was the skills competition on Saturday Night.  Red Wings Rookie Dylan Larkin picked up the win in the fastest skater event.

He had the fastest time with 13.172 seconds .  That time beat the record which was held by Mike Gartner, who set the record of 13.386 seconds in 1996.

He went on to have three assists in the actual all star game.   The Atlantic division ended up losing in the final game to the Pacific 1-0.

For what I saw of the coverage over the weekend, I like what I saw and hope the NHL sticks to this format from here on out.
