The Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to perform as part of "Rock In Rio" in Brazil on Thursday night, October 3rd.   

According to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, their performance will be streamed live from Rio de Janeiro beginning at 8:15 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (11:15 p.m. Eastern).

The band has played a few shows this year. In the past few weeks they performed in Singapore and  at the Ohana Festival in California.  The performances featured the band paying tribute to Ric Ocasek of The Cars with a cover of "Just What I Needed".

Flea is also getting ready to release his new memoir, "Acid For The Children" on November 5th.  The 400 page book looks back at the life of Flea from his days in New York and Los Angeles and his years with the band.

It was recently announced that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will  be a part of "Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream" live next September.
