My mom used to be deathly afraid of me riding off-road vehicles. The thought of me getting on a four-wheeler, or a three-wheeler was just the worst... let alone a dirt bike. Obviously, I'm an adult now and I could do what I want.

However, after watching this video of a stunt-gone-wrong at Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan this past week, I think I'll be staying off the dirt bikes for a while.

Authorities say a 21-year-old Rockford man is doing fine following an accident that literally sent him flying off his bike, after he smashed it into the windshield of a Jeep trying to jump over it.

The incident happened on Oct. 10th, and there's video that was shot from the perspective of the bike on a 360 camera. It shows the rider not only colliding with the Jeep with his bike, but then him going flying over the top of the Jeep, and disappearing behind it on the ground.

In the video, you can tell the crash was violent, but it's the photos at the end showing the bike in the windshield that really paint a picture of how lucky this guy is to still be alive.

Again, the rider is allegedly doing fine, and recovering well following the accident.

Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast told WoodTV that the rider cheated death.

"I shared that with you for a reason. I want people to be aware, when you come visit Silver Lake Sand Dunes, you need to be aware of your surroundings. You need to be aware there's other vehicles out there operating at high speeds. You just can't use enough caution."
