If you want to see some upcoming Detroit Tigers in action three recent draft picks for the team have been sent to play with the West Michigan Whitecaps in Grand Rapids.

According to the story from M-Live, three players recently drafted by the Tigers earlier this summer, Tarik Skubal, Luke Sherley and Ethan DeCaster were called up from short season Connecticut to play in Grand Rapids.

Skubal and DeCaster are pitchers and Sherley is a shortstop.   The trio join other recent draft picks on the team that include 2nd baseman Kody Clemens, outfielder Brock Deatherage and catcher Chris Proctor.

The newcomers join a Whitecaps team that is currently 49-52 on the season and for the second half are 13-18 and near the bottom of the division.

The team still has little over a month left on the season so if you want to check out some possible future Tigers  in action, make your way up to Grand Rapids and Fifth Third Ballpark to check out a game.

For more details on the current roster for the Whitecaps and their upcoming schedule you can check out the Whitecaps site here.
