Who Was The Best Tigers Player To Never Win A World Series?

The World Series begins on Tuesday with Houston and Washington.  There are some legendary players who never won a World Series including one of the best Tigers ever. 

According to the story from the Detroit Tigers and Major League Baseball, Ty Cobb never won a World Series Title.

He played in three straight World Series from 1907 to 1909 and the Tigers lost all three.

They played the Chicago Cubs in 1907 and 1908 and played the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1909.

Ty Cobb was one of the top hitters of all time and had a lifetime average of .366.  In the three years that he played in the World Series he hit .262. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame as part of the first class in 1939.

One of the best to ever play the game and never won a World Series with the Detroit Tigers.
