Why is the Super Bowl Still on a Sunday?
We’re all aware the Super Bowl is this Sunday the 7th. This to me is confusing. Why is the largest game in the world still on Sundays? It doesn’t make any sense at all.
If the Super Bowl is played on Saturday, more people will spend money on everything including food, drink, televisions, sports bars, merchandise and anything else you can think of. The main reason is most people don’t have to work on Sundays.
The thing is, this will never change…ever! The NFL loves this game on Sundays. It's just pure tradition.
This Sunday the Super Bowl will be played in Tampa, Florida. This will be the first time ever that one of the teams will play in their home stadium. The Buccaneers and Tom Brady will be playing in Tampa, their home stadium. All the odds makers say this won’t make a big difference in the betting arena.
Back to my original question. If you ask most people in America, they would say have the Super Bowl on Saturday. It will never change, though. Some people believe the Super Bowl should be considered a National Holiday. That I don’t believe at all. It’s a grand sporting event, but not a holiday. Bottom line, the game should be on Saturdays.
Who do you like for this year's game?
