With many other states around the country increasing heir minimum wage to allow those receiving it to manage to live on what they make, the petition here in Michigan has gathered enough signatures for passage in Lansing or be part of the ballot in November.

According to WNEM 5, the Michigan One Fair Wage Group submitted the signatures to state officials and will wait to see which of the two actions take place.  This would be an increase up to $12.00 per hour including those who receive tips but wouldn't go into effect until 2022.  Considering how hard it is for employers to find enough workers and with more and more companies coming in or expanding, we're going to need to pay that entry level employee more in order to succeed in this state.  For more on this story just click HERE.
