Well, I hate to say I told you so but I told you so.  One of my pre-election blogs suggested that communities might ban the sale not being able to ban the law and got push-back from those who were confident these cities wouldn't want to miss out on the revenue.  However, maybe it's not such a bad thing.  By that I mean we're in uncharted territory with legalized recreational marijuana and more than a few communities are unsure as to how it's all supposed to work.  My point is they can always reverse the ban once they know what's going on.

We saw the vote no on prop 1 commercials from the former Denver, CO. mayor saying there are more pot shops than Starbucks in that community.  Perhaps Portage wants to take a step back or a deep breath before it goes in an unwanted direction.  According to our friends at wwmt.com the Portage City Council will be voting tonight on a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries which many believe is a precursor to a moratorium on legal recreational marijuana dispensaries.  Get more of the story by clicking HERE.
