Winter Storm Blasting Parts of the West
According to USA Today, a historic winter storm began blasting parts of the West, smashing records with low temperatures, up to 3 feet of snow, strong winds and blizzard conditions.
Snow was piling up across parts of California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Nevada and Utah.
The National Weather Service said temperatures in some areas would drop as much as 30 degrees below zero.
High winds downed trees and power lines, temporarily closing roads and triggering cellular and power outages.
In Montana, Gov. Steve Bullock declared a winter storm emergency, though major interstates and highways remained open.
This is the kind of weather Michiganders have grown accustomed to for many years, here in parts of northern Michigan. And to be completely honest , not ready for it until late December or January. Stay warm my friends.
