Fly Spends A Day At The Labor Day Auction In Auburn, Indiana
It's a Labor Day tradition in Indiana and this year I had the chance to go to the Auctions America Auction in Auburn, Indiana. I've been there a couple of times but this is the first time I had the chance to go with my dad and my brother.
If your not familiar this is a big auto auction in Auburn that always is centered around the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival. The festival happens Labor Day weekend in Auburn, Indiana.
It's a huge event that has a many different cars from all era's and makes and models. The most expensive car we saw was a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Couple that is estimated over a million and a half dollars. I unfortunately didn't get to see it go through that auction, but it was a nice ride that had my brothers attention.
I didn't really have any cars that caught my attention. I have always wanted to get a Road Runner and saw a couple of models, but ones that I would of not been able to get my hands on.
This event also has a swap meet and a car corral, where many owners where showing off their rides for sale.
It is a cool place to check out and I hope that I can make this a tradition and go every year. Maybe some year I will be able to land my own classic.
