The 15th Annual Sturgis Eagles Fishing Show is coming up on Saturday, and it looks like conditions will be perfect.

The conditions have nothing to do with weather, because conditions are always perfect for a party in Sturgis. Someday I'll take the time to pass along my top 10 Sturgis highlights.

But for now, let's concentrate on this great event. Here are the details:

  • The fishing contest is 6 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 24 on Omena Lake (3 miles north of Sturgis on M-66)
  • Registration is $25 and includes a T-shirt and dinner for two at the Sturgis Eagles that night. Dinner is at 6 p.m., cocktails at 5 p.m.
  • Dinner includes, fish, smoked and deep-fried turkeys, rabbit, pheasant egg rolls and a wide variety of unique eats.
  • Lots of door prizes and raffle prizes donated by more than 25 area sponsors.
  • Pre register at Sturgis Eagles anytime between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Monies raised are donated back to local charities such as Domestic Abuse Shelter and Salvation Army.
