All Ramps Have Now Opened On I-94 At Exit 88 Near Galesburg

One of the areas major construction zones this summer as been at Exit 88 near Galesburg.  Work has recently been completed around the area.

According to the Press Release from Michigan Department of Transportation,  All ramps at Exit 88 have been open.  August saw the opening of the 40th Street bridge over I-94 and the ramps from westbound 94 to 40th Street along with the 40th Street to 94 eastbound ramp.

The other two ramps are now open.   The old bridges over Michigan Avenue are now gone.  There has also been a new car pool lot added in the southwest corner of the exit.

Work will begin on resurfacing of I-94 next week.  There will also be some bridge surface coating on the New 40th Street Bridge.

This work should improve safety and traffic flow at the exit and around the area.
