Last Friday, the answer to the age-old question “why did the chicken cross the road?" was answered in Battle Creek and the answer is something you never would’ve imagined.

The chicken crossed the road to go to a Chick-fil-A.

This legitimately happened off of B Dr. North in Battle Creek on Friday when a small black chicken was seen running across the road and into the parking lot of the Chick-fil-A.

The chicken in question ran and hid under a truck, as it was most likely, terrified for its life after bobbing and weaving in between vehicles that we’re driving on the road.

Luckily, according to somebody in the comment section of a Facebook post, the chicken is safe, amazingly enough, seeing something like this is better believed with pictures, and somehow MzNice Brown was able to snag a few pictures while it was happening, saying that many employees were watching this all happen from the side of the road:

I do have the chicken in question. And she is safe. And thanks to the guy that allowed her to go under the truck and allowed me to grab her. That's what chickens will do when they are scared they hide under things. Only thing I have to do is fix her nail. She is just scared after this morning.

I’m glad that no chickens were harmed in the making of this funny story, except for those who arrived at the Chick-fil-A restaurant pre-prepared. The chicken has no idea how close it came to death... twice.
