This Southwest Michigan Steakhouse Tops Reader Favorites

Sometimes we get in the mood and just want a good steak and baked potato for dinner. It’s definitely not a once-a-week type of meal, but when we get in the mood for a good steak, where is the best place to go in Southwest Michigan to get one?

We asked our audience where they get the best steaks done, and although there were a lot of great suggestions, there were also a lot of people who took it a little bit too literally when we asked who has the best steak in Southwest Michigan:

This post didn’t ask which restaurant has the best steak. That’s how you interpreted it. The best steak can be found at your local butcher and cooked at home if you know how to cook a steak.

 

Now that we are making it very clear that when we posted this, we did mean a restaurant, there were quite a few restaurants that were given mentions, but one was mentioned far more than the other restaurants:

Bill's Steak House in Bronson was by far the most popular in the comment section.

The Grill House in Allegan is another restaurant that came up as having amazing steaks.

One that took me by surprise was a place called Jaywalkers in Motteville.

A few people did mention The Rock at Big Fish Lake in Marcellus as being a great place to get a steak.

Four Roses in Plainwell was also brought up as having great steaks.
