New Chick-fil-A On Gull Road Sparks Local Traffic Worries
I don’t think any other fast food place than Chick-fil-A has changed the landscape of what it means to be a fast food restaurant.
The way that most of their drive-throughs are set up kind of boggles the mind, because their lines can grow so long that it could eventually be two massive lines wrapped around the building, just to get a chicken sandwich.

But the demand for Chick-fil-A continues to be high as they continue to expand throughout Southwest Michigan.
There are people in the community who are concerned that the new Chick-fil-A that is being built off of Gull Road in Kalamazoo will only add more problems to an already busy Gull Road.
We asked our audience if they thought the new Chick-fil-A location is gonna cause serious problems for Gull Road, and many people reached out, believing that they already have big problems with that road to begin with, without a Chick-fil-A there yet:
Gull Road is already horrible, especially when people walk across it (not in the crosswalk). Deb B.
However, that isn’t to say that there are people out there who feel like they’ve planned for this:
Michigan Unhealthiest Fast Food Restaurants
I believe the franchise has planned ahead based on the many other grand openings. The MDOT and the Township need to make improvements with or without Chick-fil-A. -Bob F.
One person went way off the grid to show his appreciation for the fast food company.
I’ve got a lot of respect for Chick-fil-A. They went the extra mile for my brother-in-law after his wife collapsed and died in the North Platte, Nebraska, store. Joel C.
We’ll have to wait and see once it’s built and open, just how much of an impact it will have on the local traffic.
