KVCC Instructor Cory Barrett Wins Food Network’s ‘Spring Baking Championship’

Kalamazoo County Community College culinary students and diners at Havermill Cafe may know a little bit about the skills of Kalamazoo chef Cory Barrett. Now the rest of the world knows after Barrett won the Food Network's "Spring Baking Championship."

The reality cooking competition wrapped last night (May 6, 2019) with Barrett getting the final nod. According to WITL, the Chef takes

took home the $25,000 grand prize. And if he looks sorta, kinda, familiar to you, it could be because Barrett has been on TV before. According to his bio on the Food Network website, he worked with Michael Symon on 17 episodes of Iron Chef several years ago.

Chef Cory Barrrett describes himself as a "Pastry Chef/Instructor/Consultant" on his Instagram account and he's posted many of his food creations on Instagram.
