This Michigan Pub Hosted A Dan Campbell Look-Alike Contest
Ever since coming to the Detroit Lions, head coach, Dan Campbell has completely changed the culture in the Detroit Lions locker room and is starting to become a strong figure in Detroit sports.
Ever since the "biting kneecaps" press conference that he gave, the Lions slowly, but surely started steering the ship in the right direction, and for the first time ever can say that they are the number one team in the NFL, as they look to add their first Super Bowl appearance and title this upcoming February.
With so many people in love with the enthusiasm shown by Dan Campbell, HopCat Brewpub recently held a Dan Campbell look-alike contest at their Detroit location over the weekend.
People who look like Dan Campbell were urged to show up and give him impersonations for a chance to win free Cosmik fries from Hopcat for a year and a golden game ball. Amazingly 22 people showed up for the contest, and the winner was the 55-year-old Jeff Randall, a mechanic from Manchester.
A video uploaded by CBS Sports shows the climactic finish to the contest, as Jeff is declared the winner as he throws his hat down in victory.
Dan Campbell knew of the contest, although he was questioned whether or not he knew it was happening. Although he was aware, there was a slim chance he would show up as the team was more focused than ever on the playoff months ahead.
Either way, it’s a great new way to show pride in a team finally getting what we’ve always hoped for, respect among fellow NFL teams and fans.
