It looks to be a long summer in Detroit as many are picking the Tigers to be near the bottom of the league.  It is still worth it to see a game and enjoy the promotions the team has lined up for 2018.

The Detroit Tigers have announced their promotions schedule and the most interesting promotions this season involve the retirement ceremonies for newly announced Hall Of Fame players Alan Trammell and Jack Morris.  The ceremonies will be apart of separate games in August.

The team this year will also honor the anniversary of their 1968 championship with the weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals in September.

The 1968 championship will also be honored through out the season with various players from that team having their own bobblehead giveaways throughout the summer.

Popular game night themes will return like Star Wars night and Polish-American night in May.  Fiesta Tigres and Negro League Weekend in June.   They will also continue to have fireworks after select games beginning in May.

Many things happening at the ballpark this season so if you make a trip down to Detroit to check out a game take a look at the schedule to see what is going on.

The Tigers will open their 2018 season at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates on March 29th.
