This flu season is wreaking havoc on the general population and is proving deadlier than any in recent memory. I knew dogs and cats got sick; I just thought they threw up and that was it.  Apparently, dogs and cats can get the flu but how do they get it?  Is it like the flu we get?  And how do we know they have the flu?

Well, according to a story on WDIV 4 in Detroit, the canine flu is very contagious and has many of the symptoms as the human flu.  The coughing, the wheezing, the sneezing, the runny nose and it can kill them.  This, of course, reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer realizes he has the same cough as a dog and starts taking the doggy medicine.  I know what you're saying: What doesn't remind you of a Seinfeld episode Mike?  Anyway get all the details to keep your pet safe by clicking HERE.
