Pet Saving Oxygen Kits Donated to Kalamazoo Fire

On the heels of the Columbia Township firefighters saving a horse from drowning in icy waters, there is more good news for the four-legged members of our families. MVPets has donated 33 small animal oxygen kits to the Kalamazoo County fire department. The loss felt from a house fire is devastating. Make sure first responders know your pet could be in danger by ordering a free pet safety pack from the ASPCA, and following some tips from Red Cross Pet Disaster Preparedness, including:

• Knowing when to get your pet out of the home
• Creating an emergency kit for your pet
• Knowing where pets are welcome for an extended stay in case of evacuation
