While we are counting down to Christmas and waiting for snow, Negaunee was blanketed, nay- smothered by almost five feet of December snow.

Do you want to build a snow man? Go to the Upper Peninsula. Linda shared a video on Facebook of Negaunee, a small Marquette County town, a few miles northeast of Ishpeming, covered with 57" of snow.

Winter is nothing new to those hardy souls who live in the U.P., and in Negaunee, they make the most of it as the area is also the home of Suicide Hill Ski Jump, a ski jump training facility where the Ishpeming Ski Club prepares skiers for classic cross country skiing, Nordic combined, and ski jumping competitions.

Santa won't have any trouble getting around come December 25.
