Farmington Hills Confirms Albino Deer Is Dead
The City of Farmington Hills is deeply saddened to share that the rare white albino doe recently seen throughout our community was struck and killed by a vehicle near 12 Mile Rd. and Halsted Rd. This unique deer captured the hearts of many community members, and we understand the strong community interest in their story. We appreciate the compassion shown by those who reached out with concern. As wildlife activity increases during spring, we encourage all drivers to remain alert, especially during dawn and dusk when animals are most active.
It is sad that this beautiful creature passed away, but people are jumping to conclusions that it was done purposefully, and one person made a good point in the comments.
They said it is quite possible that this was all an accident, and then the people who were a part of the accident are not coming forward out of fear of a mob mentality on social media.
Y'all are acting like this person did it on purpose. It's sad and deer are notoriously bad at crossing roads. I'm sure the driver would have avoided a collision with any deer if they could.
