Fennville's Virtue Cider is among 20 cider makers up for "Favorite American Cidery" in a USA Today 10 Best Readers Poll:

The popularity of cider as a beer alternative has exploded in recent years. According to Statista, there were more than 800 cider makers in the United States as of 2018. We asked a panel of industry experts to nominate their 20 favorite cideries from coast to coast.

Now it's up to us to vote!

Here's USA Today's praise for Virtue Cidery:

Virtue Cider makes traditional farmhouse ciders using sustainable methods. Each cider starts with hand-picked apples from the orchards of Michigan. These apples are pressed, fermented and barrel-aged onsite.

Virtue Cider was founded in 2011 by Gregory Hall. Previously, Hall had been a brewmaster at the Goose Island Beer Company. In 2011, he left Goose Island and went on a two month pilgrimage to study cider, touring and tasting at top cidermakers in England and France. He brought his knowledge back to the Mitten State, and launched Virtue Cider in Fennville in 2013.

Currently, Virtue Cider is taking reservations for outdoor seating, where they have fire pits and greenhouses, and offering curbside pickup.

You can vote once per day Virtue Cider in USA Today's poll here through March 16 at noon ET! The winners will be announced on Friday, March 26.
