The regular season is just a month away and the Kalamazoo Wings have added a pair of rookies for their preseason roster.

According to the K-Wings,  they have added a pair of rookie forwards with former Western Michigan Bronco Ben Warda and Luc Gerdes.

Warda has spent a small amount of time in the ECHL playing only a few games with Evansville.  He has been spending most of his pro career in Europe. Before he turned pro, he was with Michigan State before transferring to Western Michigan where he spent three seasons.

Gerdes joins the K-Wings after playing all four years at Colorado College. He also has played in Topeka, Jamestown and Muskegon.  The regular season for the K-Wings will start in Cincinnati on October 14th.   One week later they open at home against Brampton.

They will also host a preseason game on October 7th vs. Toledo.  Let's get out and pack Wings Event Center as the K-Wings make their return.
