The Basketball Hall Of Fame has released its list of nominees for 2018 and a few players and a coach with Michigan connections are among the names on the list.

According to the story from the Detroit News, former Pistons teammates Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton,  along with former Michigan coach Steve Fisher, are among the first time nominees announced. Former Pistons player Grant Hill was also a first time nominee.

Ben Wallace and former player and  current  Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway are also on the ballot.

The nominees will be voted on with the finalist announced during the NBA All Star Weekend.    From there the inductees will be announced during the Final Four with the inductions in September.

Billups, Hamilton and Wallace have all had their jerseys retired by the Pistons.  They  were all apart of the 2004 NBA Championship team.

Some big names on the released list that is led by Steve Nash and Jason Kidd. We will see if these players and coaches can make it in their first time eligible.
