After another slumping quarter that saw a loss of $32 million dollars, GameStop has announced that as many as 200 of their stores will closed before the end of 2019. The "underperforming" locations in question were not released at the time GameStop's Chief Financial Officer made the announcement. Currently the video games retailer has 5,830 locations in North America, which means that 95% of the locations made a profit, however, the writing may be on the wall and there could be a larger number of store closings expected over the next two years. With more and more gamers playing on online platforms, and less and less purchasing hard copies of games, the need for a brick-and-mortar location to purchase new and used games has all but been eliminated.

GameStop currently has locations in Kalamazoo, Portage, and Plainwell. No word if it's Game Over for them.
