Haven Of Rest Facing Cash Crisis, Needs $20,000 In 60 Days
The Haven in Battle Creek has announced that it has fallen on very tough financial times, and it has asked the community to help raise $200,00 in donations for them over the next 60 days.
The Haven of Rest in Battle Creek has been serving the community for more than 70 years and recently took to Facebook to discuss the next 60 calendar days, which are traditionally the most difficult time of the year for the Haven of Rest from the perspective of cash flow.

They revealed that several of the grants that supported their programs operate on a government fiscal year, which ends September 30. It also makes it incredibly difficult because all of their funding has ended for the year, and they won’t be reimbursed for the new year until late November.
They now say they need upwards of $180,000 to $200,000 to help bridge the gap and keep Haven of Rest doing what it does every day: providing shelter, meals, recovery, services, safety, and hope to the people who need them:
That's a big number. But this community has always understood that the Haven belongs to all of us. Right now, we have too many bills and not enough money coming in to cover them. If you are able to make a financial gift right now—whether it is $25, $50, $100, $500, or more—we could truly use your help.
Donations can be mailed to 11 Green Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014, or made through our Haven website, thehavenbc.org. Any help the community can provide will make a huge difference in our community members' lives.
