Here’s How You Can Drive With The Dinosaurs In Michigan
Almost ever day we try to find some bright spot amidst the chaos of the pandemic. Unfortunately, these morsels are few and far between. Oftentimes what seems like a glimmer of hope is the result of misfortune caused by the current circumstances.
One misfortune is the fact that the live concert industry is all but destroyed. Not to say that there will never be live concerts again. Just that the companies like Live Nation are so decimated at this point that they may never recover.
Then there are the venues who's trials and tribulations have been chronicled on this site several times in the last few months. One of those venues is DTE Energy Music Theater. Like most they will have to adapt or die.
The problem is trying to come up with an event that also follows state and federal COVID-19 protocol. Well, it's not the return of concerts but it's something that allows social distancing.
Today through august 16th, DTE is holding what they're calling the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru. The drive-thru will feature more than 70 moving and life-like dinosaurs, as well as the 50 foot-long Megalodon. Although the drive-thru experience means guests will stay inside their vehicle, they will still need to watch out for parts of the dinosaurs coming at them.
Lets face it. We've been spoiled as a society with an over-abundance of entertainment options. There's a chance that things will never be exactly the same as they were before the pandemic so we'll have to trust in American ingenuity and our ability to adapt and overcome.
