Josh And Jase Say Michigan People, Not Places, Left The Biggest Mark

Josh and Jase have officially left Michigan and are back in their home country of England, but did some of us scare them away for a while?

There’s no doubt that they will eventually be back, but the fact that they had to make a video regarding rude and insensitive comments made towards them leaves me feeling that it could be some time before we see them back in our state again.

The demand for them to come to other states is higher than ever after seeing what they have done for the state of Michigan to draw tourism, and it’s the nasty comments that have some people concerned that they may take a break from Michigan for a while.

The city of Traverse City itself was just as welcoming to the British influencers as every other Michigan city, except on quite a few posts on a Facebook group, there were people who insulted them at every chance they could, which made it back to them.

So much so that it forced them to create a video explaining that when they see comments like that, they feel they don't want to visit these cities. Unfortunately, it’s a few bad apples that spoil it for the rest of us, but it is concerning that they had to go as far as creating a video talking about it.

The comments definitely have not chased them out for good, as they confirmed that this definitely is not goodbye and how much they appreciated the welcome they got. As they mentioned in their goodbye post, it was the people, not the places, that truly made them feel like they belonged here:

It’s hard to put the last few weeks into words, because somehow this trip has felt like so much more than another Josh & Jase adventure. We’ve seen so many beautiful places this summer, but when we think about this trip, it isn’t actually the places that hit us the hardest. The people who stopped us in the street to say hello. The families who drove hours to meet us. The businesses that opened their doors. The people who recommended places because they genuinely wanted two Brits to see the Michigan they love.
