One of my favorite hang outs is crashing, but not like crashing in a motor vehicle, more like they're gonna crash the stock market today to get you the best prices on food and drink so they can deplete their supplies until such a time comes when we can get back to being social and eat and drink together again.

Of course we all knew the temporary closing was coming because of state orders, so it came as no surprise. The announcement was made yesterday by The Beer Exchange in true Beer Exchange fashion.

After much deliberation and with Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services' new guidelines going into effect, we have decided that tomorrow (Tuesday November 17th) will be our last night of service temporarily in Kalamazoo until we're able to raise pints together in safer times.
We're offering 50% off food and half off bottles and cans (take some home with you!) from 3pm - 11pm. When the exchange begins at 6pm we'll be pouring through our remaining kegs and crashing the market every hour until we close at 11pm.
We'll see you soon!
And stay safe.

If you've never been to the Beer Exchange you need to make it one of your first destinations to get to after our time going stir crazy at home is over.

Offering a series of delicious beers from around the world, the Beer Exchange will base their price of the brews on real-time sales, just like the stock market, resulting in an ever-evolving happy hour. Place is just a ton of fun and has a great vibe.

Now that the Beer Exchange beer prices have crashed temporarily, I will raise a brew in their honor each day of the shutdown while counting down the days until the opening bell sounds and real time beer prices ring out once again. Thanks for playing it safe Beer Exchange but damn you're going to be missed. Wishing you guys the best- see you soon!
