One of Southwest Michigan's largest companies has announced layoffs, mainly at their Battle Creek Headquarters. Kellogg announced yesterday that termination dates would be effective as of January 27th, and employees who find themselves on the chopping block will receive a severance package.

The beginning of what Kellogg calls "Project K," the layoffs are part of a four-year plan to, according to an article from WWMT, "streamline the company's operations and increase profits."

Other positions are expected to be terminated over the next several months.
