KKK Flyers Hit Dearborn Heights Streets After Anti-Muslim Protest

KKK Flyers were littered all over Dearborn Heights and Melvindale recently after an anti-Muslim protest spearheaded by Jake Lang.

Police are actively investigating the situation after thousands of flyers were seen scattered and thrown out of a vehicle on Tuesday that were promoting KKK and urging people to join their cause.

This came soon after Jake Lang, who is a self-described anti-Islamic activist, called upon others who shared his views to go to Dearborn, Michigan, and stir up trouble, where there was none.

Tensions then flared, which led to multiple arrests being made throughout the day, with even someone getting pepper sprayed. People proudly brandishing swastika armbands, T-shirts, and other hateful apparel came to exercise their First Amendment right; however, many people feel that a group that openly promotes hate and violence crosses that line.

WXYZ interviewed Dearborn Heights resident Becky Dorie, who has spent her afternoon picking up the flyers from her neighborhood:

I've never seen anything like this. I've heard about it but I've never seen fliers ever. We got family members that are Arab, we got family members that are black and white, my son's Mexican, so this affects us in a big way.

Joe Hernandez, who also lives in Dearborn Heights, had a message for outsiders coming in spreading their hate:

Keep that s*** out. Keep it out. Me and my family, we don't tolerate the KKK; I don't tolerate hate speech. I just believe in love your neighbor.

Jake Lang has been criticized for many things, including allegedly having a chat with the 15-year-old decoy whom he was grooming with pet names and allegedly saying, “I can’t see you till you’re 16.”
