Thank you, Labatt for making the perfect summertime beverage.

So, you know how our great state is known for its cherries? Well, they've inspired a new seltzer flavor.

Labatt Blue Light rolled out an "exclusive Michigan pack" of seltzers and the flavor is chilled black cherry lemonade. Yum! Count me in.

Labatt's new seltzer information

They come in packs of twelve and are 100 calories, with 5% ABV. Not only are we known for our cherries, but we're also known as the Great Lake state.

So of course each package has Michigan memorabilia. They feature the Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse on Lake Michigan in the shape of the Mitten and no, the U.P. was not forgotten!

They go on sale this week and will be available throughout the summer. However, if you become obsessed and plan on vacationing outside of the mitten, you better stock up because they're exclusively sold in Michigan.

Why Labatt made an exclusive Michigan pack

I mean any Michigander would probably say, why not make an exclusive Michigan pack? We're pretty great. Janine Schoos, Labatt's brand director, agrees and says they wanted to do something special for Labatt drinkers.

We wanted to create something special for our fans here that you won’t find anywhere else. We know Traverse City is the cherry capital of the world and so our team of experts brought the flavor to life in a uniquely Labatt way for this exclusive Great Lakes State pack.

Summer drinks

What's your go to summer drink? I don't mind a seltzer or an ice cold beer on a hot summers day, but I do love a mixed drink every now and then.

One of my favorites is cucumber vodka, club soda and lime. It sounds weird, but I swear it's refreshing. Another favorite is vodka, grapefruit juice and a splash of sparkling water to give it some fizziness. If you try any of these out, be careful! They sneak up on you quickly haha.

Don't forget to put some food in your stomach before indulging in any of the above beverages. Maybe order some food from one of these burger joints!
