Lions To Wear Throwback Uniforms To Celebrate NFL 100th Season Sunday
The Detroit Lions will play the Chiefs on Sunday (September 29th). The game will feature the teams throwback uniforms as the team celebrates 100 seasons of the NFL.
According to M-Live, the Lions will wear their throwback uinforms in the game on Sunday. The throwback uniforms have been around but the latest one was first worn in 2017. The Lions are currently 0-2 with the latest throwbacks. They lost to Minnesota and Chicago at the last two Thanksgiving Day games.
The game on Sunday against the Chiefs will also see the Lions celebrate the NFL's 100th season. Along with the game, the all time Lions team will be announced during half time. The team was voted on by an online fan vote.
The Lions are currently 2-0-1 on the season and have a tough matchup with the 3-0 Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes. The game is set to air on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. on Fox.
