McKelly’s Slide-Off Adventure

After 40 years of winter driving and 40 years of scoffing at drivers in snowy ditches, I found myself in one this morning.  That's right!!!  A driver with, as Stefani described it, "Mythical Driving Skills" lay in wait to be rescued by KDPS and McDonalds towing.

First, I was disappointed that a driver of my skill level, at a speed appropriate for conditions, would find himself in this situation.  Then came the realization that it certainly could've been much worse.  And then, coming to terms with the embarrassment of the outcome.  I've certainly had incidences of losing control on treacherous roads but never needed assistance to finish my journey.

I'd be interested to know if my emotions match others who have suffered the same fate.
