Well, I am finally getting some use out of the guitars in my home, because Fret Zealot is teaching me, not only how to play them, but the RIGHT way to teach them.

I've mentioned before, the lessons on the app allow me to learn at my own pace, which admittedly, maybe a little slower than some others. BUT, I still don't feel rushed, I feel like I can take my time to get it right, and already, I'm playing simple songs, chord progressions, and even dabbling a little in some writing!

Fret Zealot's optional light-up fretboard is helping me learn where to put my fingers, and I can play along with the songs already in the app at tempo, or it has a feature that listens to where I am in the song, and will slow to my pace. Most videos are 10-20 minutes long, so it's easy to fit into even hectic days.

Again, no pressure, and learning at my own tempo.

The one thing I will say is, while I was scrolling through the songs to find something to learn, I saw a LOT of my favorite artists with some pretty complicated stuff I've ALWAYS wanted to learn, so the app also gives me goals to look forward to. With thousands of lessons and song tutorials, there is plenty to challenge and delight even experienced guitar players.

But for now, I keep on keeping on, learning the basics, and crushing these lessons, thanks to Fret Zealot. If you're ready to learn guitar with light, check out fretzealot.com, too.
