Kalamazoo Ballroom Academy announced it’s latest event to give back not only to the local community but also on an even larger scale.

Beginning this month KBA offering Mission: Dance.  These events are focused on generating support in the local community for both local and global missions. Mission: Dance is open to everyone from beginning dancers to experienced professionals. It’s a chance for each of us to give back while enjoying dancing, community, fun and exercise. Admission to the event is simply a donation of supplies. Items that are requested this month are:

  • toothbrushes
  • toothpaste
  • bar soap
  • washcloths
  • deodorant
  • travel size toiletries.

A donation allows you entrance not only into the dance but also to a free beginners group lesson.  Owner’s, Brock and Teri Geer are very excited for this opportunity to gather people together to give back to those in need. “Usually everyone is in the giving mood during the holidays but this year we decided to take it a step further and offer a fun way to give back year around.” This month's Mission: Dance will be held Friday, January 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Kalamazoo Ballroom Academy, which is located at 2723 Kersten Court, in Kalamazoo. All ages and experiences levels are welcome.

This months Mission: Dance focuses on South America, specifically Ecuador.  Local Kalamazoo missionaries next month will transport the supplies collected down to Ecuador, as they return for another two week missions trip in that area.
