The Most Popular Convenience Store Has No More Locations In Michigan’s U.P.
One of the most popular convenience store locations in all of America is 7-Eleven. But over the past few years there have been some major announcements that have rocked fans of the convenience store, let the announcement that they will be closing over 400 locations throughout the entire United States, with many fearing that Some locations in Michigan will be closing.
There are areas that have very few brick-and-mortar locations to 7-Eleven, as they’ve absolutely been dwindling away or being absorbed by speedway gas stations. It could eventually become a situation where 7-Eleven stores entirely go away and are all absorbed into gas stations.

There are even states in America right now. They don’t have a 711. Currently, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming don’t have a single location.
If Michigan’s Upper Peninsula was its own state, that would be 12 all day because the UP does not have a single 711 location. This seems strange considering how rural things are and how inclusive 7-Eleven‘s store is, it’s the perfect vacation pit stop. I'm also surprised there isn't a single one in any of the gas stations up there.
But a simple check on their website and you see no locations, not even in Speedway gas stations in the entire U.P. Do you think the brick-and-mortar 7-Eleven locations will eventually go away?
This store was once thriving in the 80s and 90s and now seems to be struggling with the growing competition over the years, and slowly being phased out.
