Once on This Island at Kalamazoo Civic Theatre

Once on this Island, a captivating, romantic musical, hits the Parish Theatre stage February 22nd. Currently experiencing a revival on Broadway, this Calypso-infused story follows Ti Moune, a young peasant girl who rescues Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of the island. Like so many great opposites, they fall in love, but their happiness may not last. Unbeknownst to the two love-birds, the gods of the island make a bet about what is stronger, love or death.

Suitable for the whole family, this Tony-nominated musical explores themes of prejudice and hatred. Once on This Island runs from Friday, February 22nd, through Sunday, March 10th, with evening and matinee performances.
